Becker County was a grant recipient of the Comprehensive Crisis Response Program from the Minnesota Department of Human Services. This collaborative program includes over 20 schools and child-serving agencies in the White Earth and Becker County region. These services include assessment, intervention and stabilization. Lakes Crisis & Resource Center is one of the agencies participating and our advocates our answering the 24-Hour Children’s Crisis Hotline. When needed, there are mobile Crisis Response Teams made up of mental health professionals and practitioners. This grant is a community-based effort to intervene quickly when children are in crisis and ultimately to avoid out-of-home placements.
