PROGRAM VISION:  
All children will live in healthy families that support their full development and growth into a lifetime of health and well-being.  

SERVICES PROVIDED:
Family Advocacy: The Healthy Family Advocate works to strengthen and support families by providing ongoing support, education, and assistance in identifying and making connections to community resources.  Examples of community resources include financial assistance, housing assistance and resources, access to mental health services, and parent education.

Parent Education and Circle of Parents:
Circle of Parents ® is a national network of mutual support and self-help programs in partnership with communities.  These parent support groups are offered on a weekly basis.  Parent Education groups are designed to help parents gain tools to help with parenting.

Counseling through MCARPT:  Mental Health services are available through the Minnesota Consortium for Advanced Rural Psychology Training at Lakes Crisis and Resource Center.

HEALTHY FAMILIES PROGRAM PARTNERS:
Detroit Lakes Public Schools Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) provides fun and educational activities for children and parents at the Lincoln Education Center and through home visits.  

Partners in Parenting is a support group for young parents that provides education, parenting information and support through weekly socialization groups.  One to one mentoring is also available.

Boys & Girls Club of Detroit Lakes provides after school and summer activities for children.

Minnesota Consortium for Advanced Rural Psychology Training (MCARPT) provides psychology services.
